Is Andrew Sullivan Anti-Semitic?

Recently, Andrew Sullivan writes:

I also think that if you believe that the blockade is illegal (and that’s a perfectly legitimate position), and that you are attempting to break it, and you are then assaulted in international waters by shock-troops, self-defense is an option.

OK, Andrew, so what do you expect to happen? Should the IDF have used water guns? Maybe they should have brought military-grade pillows and had a pillow fight instead? Isn’t it obvious that if you’re going to use “self-defense”, and by self-defense, mean try to bash someone’s head in, stab, throw overboard, and kidnap, you should not be surprised by the consequences?

In the case of the perpetrators, this makes perfect sense as they did not do it to provide “toys and wheelchairs” that you never fail to mention, but rather to end the blockade. That Turkey has lessened diplomatic relations is even better. If the families of the perpetrators don’t even care about the well being of those killed, what did you expect to happen? Note what the family of the American Turk said in response to his death:

However, we were not sorry to hear that he fell like a martyr.

So as long as he died as a “martyr”, they’re happy. What a typical American family!

Andrew goes on:

There was a clear element in the raid of making a show of force – pour decourager les autres. This was a “Don’t Fuck With The Jews!” moment.

Wait a minute, why not “The Israelis”? You’ve denied on more than one occasion that you’re not anti-semitic, so what do “The Jews” have to do with this Andrew?
